We collect two categories of information:

1.1 Account holder information — collected when you create an account:

• First name and last name
• Email address
• Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details)

1.2 Guest information — entered by you when building your seating chart:

• Guest first name and last name
• Dietary requirement, if provided (Standard, Vegetarian, Vegan, or Gluten-Free)

We do not collect guest email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, or any other identifying information about your guests.

We collect and use your information only for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your BeautifullySeated account
• To save and display your seating chart and guest list
• To process payments through Stripe
• To generate and deliver your print-ready PDF export
• To contact you about your account, order, or support requests

We do not use your information or your guests' information for advertising, marketing, or any purpose beyond delivering the BeautifullySeated service.

When you enter guest names and dietary information into BeautifullySeated, you are providing personal information about other people. By doing so, you confirm that:

• You are entitled to share this information for the purpose of planning your wedding or event, and
• You have informed your guests, or it is reasonable in the circumstances to do so without consent (for example, sharing a guest list for the purpose of seating at a private event).

Guest data is only visible to the account holder who entered it. We do not share, sell, or use guest information for any purpose other than displaying it within your seating chart.

4.1 Your account data and guest data is stored securely in an encrypted database provided by our cloud infrastructure provider.

4.2 Data is stored on servers located within, or subject to the data protection standards of, reputable cloud infrastructure providers. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

4.3 We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including guest names and dietary information — will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. We use trusted third-party services to operate BeautifullySeated, including Stripe for secure payment processing (see stripe.com/privacy) and cloud infrastructure providers for secure database storage and website hosting. Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy obligations and only receives the minimum information necessary to perform their function.

BeautifullySeated uses minimal cookies necessary to keep you logged in and to maintain your session.

We do not use advertising cookies or track your activity across other websites. We may use basic analytics (such as page view counts) to understand how the site is used — this data is aggregated and not linked to individual users.

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Make a complaint if you believe we have mishandled your information

If you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles, you may contact us in the first instance at beautifullyseated@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email or by a notice on the platform. The date at the top of this document reflects when it was last updated.
